I know that sometimes it can be hard to express how we feel through words, which is why I look to work experientially with my clients, using techniques like visualisation, body work, stonework, empty chair work, drawing, or anything else that makes sense to them. Working creatively in this way allows us to bring certain emotions out into the open that many can’t communicate through language. I am not here to give you answers, but instead act as your compassionate guide, supporting you to find the answers within yourself as you reconnect with your own inner therapist, gradually changing old unhelpful dialogues for a new, healthier dialogue.
Some of the issues I can provide targeted support for include but are not limited to:
I am experienced in working with clients to engage with and overcome addictions of all kinds – not just addiction to alcohol and/or drugs. Clients in the past have come to me for support with addiction to eating, sex, love, gambling, work, exercise, and many other behaviours that they are unable to give up despite the negative consequences.
Seeking help for anxiety is particularly nerve-wracking, but making that first leap is the most important part of the process, and I am with you every step of the way. My practice is a completely safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to work through all forms of anxiety, such as generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and panic attacks.
I know it can feel like your depression won’t ever improve, but change is always possible, and I am here to help you during this process. Working through depression takes time, and how we do it varies with each individual. Together we will look to reconnect with your inner child, engaging compassionately and curiously with the pain you hold inside yourself and understanding where it comes from.
If you have suffered a bereavement or loss of some kind, I give you the space to explore your issues in any way that feels right. I am particularly experienced in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community over the age of 50 who feel isolated, detached, and unable to communicate their emotions to those close to them. My practice allows you to be supported and given unconditional positive regard at all times.
As someone who has themselves experienced discrimination in the past, I know that people from minority backgrounds experience a range of unique issues that require sensitive, targeted support. Giving people in this position the right kind of help is so crucial, which is why I am always mindful to deliver an affirmative, intersectional form of counselling that suits each individual’s needs and acknowledges their particular social location.
You might struggle with a fear of intimacy, or have an intense inner critic who prevents you from truly connecting with others. Many out there feel incredibly isolated, have low self-esteem, and don’t know how to move forward. Together we will get to the bottom of these feelings and empower you to feel more connected to yourself, other people, and the wider world.

That process of getting in touch for the first time can be a bit daunting, which is why I always give you the chance to have a free, no-obligation 30-minute chat with me over the phone before deciding whether to dive into full sessions. This is your chance to ask any questions, learn a bit more about me, and see whether you’d be comfortable having further sessions. If we aren’t the right fit for whatever reason, I can also give you a referral to someone more suited to your particular needs.
All sessions are 50 minutes long.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07858877366 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
My journey towards becoming a counsellor started as a client, where I explored blockages and reconnected with my inner child, making sense of why I couldn’t move on from certain issues in my life and, over time, understanding what I needed to do. As someone who has experienced their own struggles, including discrimination and difference, I know that people going through the same thing need a personalised form of compassionate support, something that makes sense to them, which is why I decided to commit myself fully to counselling over a decade ago, specialising in Gestalt therapy and creative interventions.
I have received a Diploma in Counselling from the London Gestalt Centre, along with intensive training group facilitation, dynamics, and interventions. In addition, I also have 25 years of experience in working for leading National Mental Health Charities, Adolescent services, Women's counselling services, the NHS, Drug and Alcohol services whilst developing my own private practice.
No matter what you are going through, whether it’s depression, addiction, or low self-esteem, my practice is a place where you can feel safe and supported at all times. Feel free to give me a call whenever you like to discuss counselling in Worthing, Sussex, and online.
