We all have moments when something small suddenly feels big.
A look, a tone of voice, a memory, or even a situation that seems harmless can bring up a wave of emotion we didn’t expect. These are called triggers — and they can leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from yourself.

Triggers often come from past experiences that haven’t had the space to heal.
You’re not “overreacting.” Your mind and body are trying to protect you.

 What triggers can feel like:

  • Your heart racing

  • Feeling small or unsafe

  • Wanting to withdraw

  • Sudden sadness or anger

  • Feeling misunderstood

  • An urge to please, avoid, or over-explain

How I help you work with triggers

In our sessions, you’ll learn how to:

  • Notice what’s happening in your mind and body without judgement

  • Understand where the trigger comes from

  • Respond to it gently rather than feeling consumed by it

  • Build healthier ways of coping in the moment

  • Strengthen your inner sense of safety and calm

You don’t have to face these moments alone.
With the right support, triggers become something you can understand, manage, and eventually soften — rather than something that controls your day, or life.
